Three Mills, One Commitment

Wilkins Rogers Mills (WRM) operates three mills in Pennsylvania and Maryland which serve commercial bakeries, food service distributors and retail grocers up and down the East Coast of the United States. We have customers located in every state from North Carolina to Maine, and they range from large international baking companies to regional bakery distributors to national grocery chains.

Across all of our flour and corn meal products and milling services, one thing remains the same – our commitment to quality and food safety. We employ operations managers who are graduates of the Kansas State Grain Milling program – the only university in the U.S. to have a four-year flour milling degree. We are also committed to providing our millers and operations managers with continuous training through seminars and classes offered at Kansas State or the American Institute of Baking (AIB). Our millers are also active in the International Association of Operative Millers (IAOM).

Our Food Safety department maintains compliance with all federal and state requirements, facilitates regular audits and ensures adherence to industry Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). In addition, our Director of Quality Assurance is an active member of the North American Millers Association Technical Committee and keeps all three mills at the forefront of food safety practices. As we enter our next 100 years, we will continue to intensify our focus on our customers’ food safety demands and expectations.

Flours, Corn Meals & Breadings

WRM is not a one-dimensional soft wheat miller. In fact, our three mills produce a wide variety of flours to meet the needs of bakers, distributors and grocers. With our experienced Kansas State-trained operations staff, we have the ability to mill flour to customers’ exact specifications or even develop a specific flour for a new application. We mill soft wheat pastry, pretzel, cake, cookie, self-rising, all purpose and whole wheat flours – and we can enrich or bleach them, if required. We also mill hard wheat flours, including whole wheat and hard/soft blends. Our corn mill produces both white and yellow full-flavored Indian Head brand corn meals, as well as Washington brand self-rising corn meals. In addition, we produce the Washington brand Seafood and Chicken Breadings found in grocery stores throughout the mid-Atlantic.

To accommodate the differing needs of our customers, WRM offers a wide range of packaging sizes. Our mills utilize modern packaging technology capable of packing flour or corn meal in 2-pound, 5-pound, 10-pound, 25-pound, 50-pound and 100-pound bags. Likewise, bulk tanker deliveries can be provided for any grade of flour we produce.
